LOCAL NEWS

New West Police are asking for any witnesses—or anyone with CCTV footage—to come forward after equipment belonging to the New West Soccer Club (NWSC) was stolen from one of the containers they use for storage.

“Between March 19th and March 27th thieves made off with four large steel storage boxes which the club used to store soccer equipment,” a release from the department reads. The boxes were being stored at Glenbrook Middle School and Hume Park.

“It’s upsetting to see sports equipment stolen from these parks,” Sgt. Andrew Leaver elaborated in the same release. “It’s not just about the loss of gear, it’s about thieves taking away the ability for youths to play soccer where they’re able to grow and develop their skills.” Please reach out to New West Police if you have any info.
